What Is a Drum Jack?

Articles

A drum jack is a wheeled unit that serves as a carrier to transport 55-gallon steel or fiber drums and a cradle to hold empty drum contents. It also raises drums of power cable so that they can be reeled off easily when installing cable into manhole covers or openings in ducts. These cable drum hydraulic jacks are designed for easier operation than screw-type jacks. The frame is lightweight and can easily be maneuvered in cable yards or on the job site.
