In addition, players are finding that the sniper rifles are now more effective than the drum gun at long range. While this is likely just a bug, it will be interesting to see if the change sticks around for the duration of the 14 Days of Fortnite event.

It is not yet known if the Drum Gun will return to the loot pool after being vaulted, but rumors suggest that it will be reintroduced in the future. The weapon can also be found in the Creative mode under the Assault Rifle category. The Mythic version, Midas’ Drum Gun, can be obtained by completing the Midas Challenge in the Creative mode.

While the Drum Gun was incredibly powerful when it first entered the battlefield, it was quickly blasted for being overpowered. Epic has already nerfed the weapon and had to make some other changes to its balance in the most recent update, but it is clear that the weapon needs more tweaking before it can be considered balanced. This is particularly true for its inaccurate fire at long ranges. Hopefully, Epic will continue to tweak the weapon’s performance in the coming updates.
